Ukrainian drones kill two people and wound 17 in Voronezh Oblast attack

Situation Overview

On 26 October, two people were killed and 17 were injured in a drone attack in Voronezh Oblast, Governor Aleksandr Gusev said. He said that during the night and morning, 113 unmanned aerial vehicles were detected and destroyed and that more than 70 drones were shot down directly over the Voronezh area. Gusev said the victims were men born in 1960 and 1973, and that among the injured was a child. He added that some of the injured, including two with serious injuries, were hurt on a train. The reports attribute the attack to Ukraine, describing it as an attack by Ukrainian drones. The immediate operational focus is the scale of the drone strike and the effectiveness of air-defense interception over Voronezh and surrounding districts.

Geopolitical Implications
