Houthi attacks strike Abha and Riyadh airports, killing at least three
Situation Overview
Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation said Abha International Airport and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh were hit in separate Houthi (Ansarallah) attacks on Tuesday and Wednesday. At Abha Airport, two women of Moroccan and Algerian nationality were killed and 28 people were injured, including Saudi citizens and Bangladeshi and Filipino residents. At King Khalid Airport, a Sudanese resident was killed and eight others were injured. Saudi Arabia also said the attacks occurred on 6 and 7 October and reported three deaths and 36 wounded in total, matching the breakdown of two deaths and 28 injuries at Abha and one death and eight injuries at King Khalid. The Houthi front claimed victims in Saudi Arabia for the same incidents.
